Creating a Tender
To create a new tender, first select "Create Tender" from the menu bar.
You can then enter top-level details of your tender - a title is required, but the reference number is optional. Enter a description and select both a bidding deadline and a deadline for asking questions.
Save your tender, and you'll be taken to the overview page to continue adding detail to your tender.
Should you need to update your tender details, simply use the button on the overview page labelled "Edit Tender Details".
All tenders are made up of one or more lots. A bidder can elect to bid on one or more of your tenders' lots.
You'll then be taken to the overview screen for your new lot. You can also access this screen from the tender overview page at any time.
You can now add attachments and questions to lots where required, or return to the tender overview to add more lots.
A tender lot can have one or more attachments associated with it for potential bidders to view prior to making a bid. You can add new attachments from the attachment list on the right-hand side of a lot.
Selecting "Add Attachment" will bring up your operating system's file browser. Select one or more files to upload.
Once uploaded, the files will be visible in the attachments section of your lot. You can remove unwanted attachments by clicking on the trash can icon.
Lots can present zero or more questions for a potential bidder to complete. Questions are grouped into sections, so you can keep all the financial questions together, for example. To get started, you need to first create one or more groups for your questions.
Once you have created a new grouop, you will be able to assign questions to that group.
A question can be limited to a certain number or words, and can optionally have a score limit set, if you want to use scoring mechanisms. You can also decide which questions are required for a bid.
You can edit and delete questions and groups via the buttons next to them, and drag-and-drop items around to fit the order you require.
When you have finished building your tender and its lots, you are ready to publish the tender. This will make it visible to the tender search screen, and will become indexed for discoverability on search engines. To publish your tender, cliuck the "Publish Tender" button on the tender overview screen.
You will need to confirm the details of your tender, and acknowledge you agree to our terms and conditions before sending your tender live.
Once published, you can still see the overview screen, with the option to cancel the tender at any time (if you do this by accident, you have the ability to re-instate the tender). The screen will also provide an overview of any bids, invite requests and messages you have.
