In the wet winding of pressure vessels, dry fibres in the form of rovings are removed from e.g. bobbins, that are stored in a creel rack. The fibres are wetted with matrix material in an impregnation unit according to the principle of roll impregnation and then deposited on a rotationally symmetrical thermoplastic liner (core). In front and behind the impregnation unit a thread tension control or a thread force increase is used. After the impregnation unit, the impregnated rovings are brought together to form a strand. The strand is deposited in a defined and adjustable deposit width via a deposit roller or a thread eye. In order to avoid error sources, the thread guiding unit should be stationary up to the thread eye. During winding, the deposit pattern is varied between circumferential windings and helical windings with different deposit angles, thus creating a laminate layer by layer. For the production of pressure vessels it should be possible to apply an internal pressure to the thermoplastic liner. In addition, the application of compression or tensile forces of the liner should be made possible by appropriate measures. After the winding process, the pressure vessel is cured in a winding furnace.
