Tender description

NHS GG&C have a requirement for the rental of pressure redistributing mattresses to deal with up to Grade 4 pressure damage and complex wounds. To also include specialist beds including spinal and bariatric.

All products provided must be maintained, repaired and tracked. An “Out of Hours” process exists for critical areas where respiratory, spinal, bariatric, low level beds and air fluidised products will be available 24/7 – 365 days. An online ordering, tracking and reporting system will be required and all national and local infection control policies and procedures adhered too.

Products are required to support health care activity in all areas of NHS GG&C, primarily Acute but also mental health sites as required and a number of private Nursing Homes with NHS Beds/Patients. It will cover the provision of clinical beds required for moving and handling, bariatric nursing and spinal. It does not cover the provision of general Acute Hospital Beds.

With reference to ESPD question 4C.1.2, bidders must provide examples that demonstrate they have the relevant experience to deliver the services as described in part II.2.4 of the OJEU Contract Notice of the relevant section of the site notice. Examples must be to the similar scale and value as this framework.

Your examples should be from within the last 3 years for service contracts of a similar nature to this requirement.

Your completed response must be no more than 2 pages of A4. No wording will be evaluated beyond this.

If you cannot provide any examples, you must explain why at this section in the ESPD.

You must use the attached template on PCST in supplier attachments to provide up to 2 examples that demonstrates experience that is relevant to this procurement exercise.

You must upload the completed document next to the question 4c.1.2. do not upload this document into the “General Attachments Area". This is a scored question with a weighting of 40 %

With reference to ESPD question 4C.4, please describe your management tracking system for the beds and mattresses as detailed in 11.2.4 of the Contract Notice.

List and brief description of selection criteria

With reference to ESPD question 4B.6 – NHS GG&C will use its financial evaluation matrix which can be uploaded from the attachments area on PCST to assess the financial stability of tenderers. Tenderers should complete the evaluation matrix spread sheet included in the tender documents and confirm they meet the minimum requirement score. Tenderers with a minimum Score of 50 and above will be deemed to have evidenced satisfactory financial stability.

Failure to meet the minimum requirement score will result in a non-compliant tender and will not be taken through to invitation to tender stage.

Medical devices agency regulations which must be CE marked with all claims substantiated.

Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992.

Infection control procedures, specific to each of the offered products to meet the needs of NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Control of Infection Policy

British Safety Standards for Flame Retardancy.

All relevant British and European Standards currently in use if a bidder does not provide evidence of the above standards the submission will be non-compliant and will not be taken forward to invitation to tender stage.
